Shea Theodore chases down Mitch Marner.

Another Wednesday is here and hopefully another winning day for us, as we're 10-3 so far this season on our NHL Best Bets here at SportsTree. Without further ado let's get into it.
Nashville Predators at Seattle Kraken
This game has a few interesting possible plays but as neither team is one I want to trust on the ML so I don't see a ton of value there. Where I do see value is the total, as I have a sneaking suspicion this game will total five goals. Nashville has been unable to score consistently unless it's been on the power
play and both starting goalies have been solid in net this season. Both sides have hit the under in the majority of their games played this year and Seattle has hit the under in their last three overall thanks to their defence giving up two goals or less in their last four games. Nashville,to their credit, seems to be
improving somewhat defensively, having given up three goals or
less in eight of their last nine games. Pick: Under 5.5 - 1 unit

Vegas Golden Knights @ Toronto Maple Leafs
This game is similar to the above but instead of two middling teams, we have two heavyweights. However, I have similar issues with the ML here, as it's hard to pick one of these teams over the other. Yet when it comes to the total these games truly differ. Simply put, the Golden Knights have been excellent on
offence this season. They scored three or more goals in eight of their last 10 games. The Golden Knights rank fourth in goals per game and seventh in shots per game. When it comes to the Leafs, their season-long numbers aren't as impressive but they are good ranking 17th in goals per game and 11th in shots per game. Recently the Leafs seem to have found another gear scoring three or more goals in seven of their last 10 games. I will say if you need a ML pick here I am leaning towards the Leafs as they're 6-3-1 at home in their last 10 games against the Golden Knights. The best bet in this game though is the over. Pick: Over 5.5 - 1 unit
Carolina Hurricanes @ Philadelphia Flyers
With this game it's all about Carolina, who have been excellent on offence this season, in particular of late; as they have scored four or more goals in nine of the last 10 games. Carolina ranks third in goals per game and first in shots per game. The defence and goaltending have been superb for the Hurricanes this
season. They rank fifth in goals against per game and fourth in shots against per game. Overall they play a very well structured smart style of hockey. Philadelphia however is the opposite; they have a lot of young guys who are learning the game and tend to play inconsistently. On top of this goaltending has been a specific weak spot for the Flyers so far this season, ranking 29th in goals against per game. Carolina is one of the best teams in the league while Philly is a cellar dweller; expect the Canes to win this contest by two. In their last three matchups against Philly, the Canes are 2-1 and won both by more than one goal, including a 6-4 victory earlier this season. I also like the 3-way line but more value on the puck line. Pick - Hurricanes -1.5 - 1 unit
