MNF Week 3 Double Header, Double Bettor
2024-09-23 · 3 min read · NFL/Football
Joe Burrow is set to Rumble in the Jungle and Trevor Lawrence leads his Cats to Buffalo to battle Josh Allen and the Bills.
Pending weather, this Monday Night Football doubleheader could be the night of the gunslingers. Kicking things off in Buffalo, Josh Allen has a great matchup to open things up with a bang. The Jacksonville Jaguars surrender 245.5 passing yards per game, the third most in the NFL. Another factor favouring the Bills arial attack is the Jags stout rushing defence that could limit James Cook. The Jags have a top-nine rush defence that allows just 3.8 YPC. The easiest way for the Bills to attack the Jaguars is through the air, as proven last season. In week five of last year, Allen threw for 359 yards and a pair of TDs. 225 is more than attainable, and carries value at -125. Our betting model has this converting at over a 70% rate. If the skies clear up for kickoff, look for Allen, not Mother Nature, to make it rain.

Last Sunday's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs affirms the third consecutive year that the Cincinnati Bengals have kicked off the season 0-2. While it's not time to panic, it's go time in the Jungle on Monday night. The Washington Commanders come to town, who've given up 28 ppg and 6.2 yards per play this season. Both are good enough for the bottom three in the NFL. Joe Burrow should get Tee Higgins back on MNF, and the QB should shine with his marquee WRs together for the first time this season. Without Higgins, Burrow was still able to post 258 passing yards and two TDs against a solid Kansas City secondary. The Commanders have given up six passing TDs this season; Burrow will have his chances through the air. The LSU product has thrown multiple touchdowns in six of his last eight starts, and in one of those games, he left early with a season-ending injury. At -150 we’ll take a shot on cool Joe to be cool Joe. Furthermore, our BMS has this cashing at an over 70% clip.
